"What raging hormones you have"

Films: Red Riding Hood (2011)

Alias: Cesaire

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of a cow.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Oh dear lord, as if f*cking up vampires and werewolves by adapting one of the most loathed romance novels ever wasn't enough. Needless to say, the odd desire for Hollywood to make werewolves sexy will never die. It's a shame that most attempts involve the blandest of actors and most banal of plots.

History: Daggerhorn has been haunted by werewolves for quite some time. But at least the most recent one only request animal sacrifices, so it's all good. But then the werewolf, a drunkard named Cesaire, realized that his wife cheated on him after he proposed they move to the city for greener pastures. Now, he demands human sacrifices, and will get them himself if he has too. Soon, everyone in Daggerhorn is pointing fingers, particularly at folks like Valerie, Cesaire's daughter who can understand werewolf thoughts, and Peter, an aloof lumberjack boy who practically has "moody emo teen" written all over him.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Valerie learns the truth about her heritage and her father, she and Peter work together to kill him, with Peter digging an axe in his back and Valerie stabbing him with a severed hand with silver fingernails. After dumping his corpse into the lake, Peter departs, having been bitten earlier. He returns after gaining control over the curse.

Powers/Abilities: Under a blood moon, a werewolf can transfer the curse with a bite. They are also almost unkillable, and can telepathically communicate with those of their heritage.

Weakness: Silver.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-If the werewolves from "Twilight" were more willing to get their paws dirty, we'd have more like this one. Cesaire is as savage and brutal as you'd expect a monster wolf to be. Also, he's a rather petty person who at no point considered what his children wanted. Besides, the city would have obliterated him anyhow.

Trivia: -This film was originally called "The Girl with the Red Riding Hood", but that was a bit of a tongue-twister.

-Cesaire was played by Billy Burke, who ironically plays as Bella Swan's father in "Twilight". Considering he was one of the few likeable characters in that franchise, this is quite the paradox.
